All across the United States, college students crave Hookah. Viewed as a perfect way to relieve the stress of finals week, or to kill the time on an off night, Hookah bars have popped up in various college towns in the USA, quickly developing a religious following. These Hookah bars have most notably shown up in party cities like L.A. and New York. However, it seems as if the Midwest has been neglected. Schools such as Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan Universities have a large population of Hookah smokers, yet nobody has taken the initiative to produce a high-rate Hookah lounge in any of these college towns. The demand would be extremely high, with hype reaching a feverish rate.

Incoming freshman to colleges without any Hookah lounges are disappointed. Many students from the coasts wonder why their new homes lack the luxury of a Hookah bar near their campus. Many students have to settle for their own semi-authentic Hookahs and mediocre tobacco in the confines of their dormitories, where smoking is most often illegal. This diminishes the quality of smoking, since one of the main goals of Hookah smoking is to enjoy it in a relaxed environment with many friends, taking your time, and not having to be worried of any problems.

Although there are avid Hookah smokers and a high demand for a Hookah lounge with a cool atmosphere, these college towns have failed to capitalize on this great demand. Students must settle for the run of the mill college experience- the regular trashy frat party or boring night at the bar. The request for a lounge with cool music, good food, and great hookah is astronomical. Why be stuck with a pint of beer at a shady bar, when you can enjoy the company of your friends at a hookah lounge, while smoking hookah, listening to the latest music, and checking out the day’s recap of sports scores on TV screens?
