Running water into your hose will cause permanent damage to the interior of the Hookah hose. There are wires embedded inside the hose which rust immediately after water is placed in the hose. There is no way of drying the water inside the hose, so it settles on the metal wires causing them to deteriorate. We will provide more on alternatives ways to clean your hose at a later time. If you do not believe us in the meantime, simply cut open your hose and see the mess you are "smoking."

my friend messed up my hookah hose by deciding to "clean" it with water. Every time after dust and g-d knows what came out of the hose. I heard they are starting to make new plastic hoses that are easy to clean with water. Whats up with that genie?
